FETTING, Albert H. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Age 92 years. The son of the late Harry and Matilda (Brechtelsbauer), Fetting was born September 17, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan. He married Jean S. Smith, August 27, 1949. She passed away February 7, 2005. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #439.

He was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was a life member of the Alumni Association. He taught with the City of Saginaw, Public School System for 29 years retiring from Arthur Hill High School in 1983. He was a member of the Michigan and Saginaw Retired Teachers Assoc. He was active with Team One Credit Union and had served on their Advisory Board.

Surviving are a sister, Marjorie Gould; his nieces and nephews, Lavonne Bradford; Connie Blehm; Kay Sweeney; Lisa Lytle; Steve Lytle; Robert Fleming; Barbara Mainprize; Rodger Fetting, a sister-in-law, Molly Fetting and a brother-in-law John W. Smith; several cousins. A sister, Marie Miessner, a brother, Clemens Fetting have predeceased him.

Mr. Fetting wishes to thank his caretakers, Lori A. Greyerbiehl, Mark McKnight and Tim Mohr, his hospice workers, Caroline and Tammy and very special thank you to all of the Glick family, his dear friends and neighbors.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 915 Federal at Second St. Saginaw, MI.48607. Rev. Paulette Cummings will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John Ev. Lutheran Church.
