Costa, Rose-Mildred Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Bickford Cottage, at the age of 93 years. Mildred was born in Saginaw, Michigan, December 19, 1914, the daughter of the late Emmanuel John and Rose Costa. She was a 1933 graduate of SS Peter & Paul High School and a 1937 graduate of Mary Grove College. She received her Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan. Her career in teaching included SS Peter & Paul High School, Durand Elementary, Webber Junior High and she finished her career as the librarian at Arthur Hill High School, where she retired in 1978.

She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her brother, Robert Costa, Vero Beach, Florida; nieces, Susan (Edward) Gansen, Peggy (Stephen) Kalafut; nephews, Peter (Jan Geiser) Costa, Michael (Susan) Costa; great nieces, Rebecca Kalafut, Natalie Costa, Jennifer Kalafut and Katelyn Kalafut; great nephews, Michael (Katie) Gansen, Peter J. (Nikki) Costa; great-great nephews, Ryan Gansen and Joshua Gansen; several cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, John Costa.

A Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan. Rev. Fr. John Johnson will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
