Victoria L. Gilmore (Fordyce)

Vicky Gilmore (Fordyce) passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center at the age of 56. She was born on March 20, 1958, in Saginaw, to the late Jack E. Fordyce and is survived by her mother, Caroline E. (Schmidt) Fordyce. Vicky graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1976. She was married to R. Scott Gilmore on October 18, 1985 in Saginaw. Scott survives her.

Vicky was a very active person and had volunteered for and was a member of many groups, clubs and organizations, including, the Saginaw County Republican Party (Delegate), officer for the Saginaw Valley Amateur Radio Assn. (call sign-N8GSB), Saginaw Friendship Games, Lutheran Youth-Group Basketball, and the Swan Valley School System.

Besides her husband, Scott, Vicky is survived by two daughters, Nichole (Jason) Bordeau, West Olive, MI; Melissa Gilmore, Winter Haven, FL; five grandchildren, Cassandra Gilmore, Alexia, Brooklyn and Dakota Bordeau, and Kyle Gilmore; her brothers and sister, Michael J. Fordyce, San Leandro, CA; Kathleen M. (James) Bernardoni, Winter Haven, FL; and Timothy P. Fordyce, Frankenmuth; her uncles and aunts, Lloyd (Gail) Schmidt, Marvin (Karen) Schmidt; several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
